“PROGRAM OF HISPANIC LITERATURE AND CULTURE” (PLYCH)
 
A. INTENSIVE COURSE OF ORIENTATION IN SPANISH
 
Description

For those students that don’t feel comfortable or confident with their knowledge of Spanish, Blas Pascal University offers an intensive course to improve the foreign language and ease adaptation.
Similarly, these programs is fundamental for those students interested in attending classes for a semester but are not qualified in language (at least four semesters).
After these classes the student will feel sure to know the language and will be ready to start classes in better mastery of the language and culture.

Timetable
60 hours per subject.
 
Includes
» Transfer from the International Cordoba Airport to the campus at UBP.
» Theoretical and practical classes.
» Lodging at family homes, this includes three meals a day and laundry.
» Free access to al the facilities in the campus (computer lab, library, cafeteria, gym, sports courts, etc.)
» Health insurance and technological insurance (www.osde.com.ar)
»City Tour
»Campus tour
» Welcome and farewell parties.
» Excursions to the hills in Cordoba.
» Classes of tango and horse riding.
»Tutorial company, a young person from Cordoba will accompany the student in the process of socialization.

Program duration
 
» It is carried out twice a year and lasts four weeks.
» It begins the first Monday of February and the first Monday of July.
 
B. SEMESTER OR ACADEMIC YEAR ( SPRING-FALL)
 
Description

This program was created to cater the needs of foreign students who are integrated to the Argentine community.
Different levels of Spanish are taught: intermediate and advanced level, modern history of Argentina and Latin America, popular Argentine culture, Argentine literature, tango and horse riding.
Besides this program, students can attend subjects from the plan of studies at UBP, and in this way, they can integrate themselves into the educative community.
As all courses are taught in Spanish, it is essential to have a certain mastery of the language.


Timetable and attendance
60 hours per subject.
Monday through Friday between 11.30 and 17 approximately (depending on the classes taken by the student).

Requirements
» To have attended at least four semesters of Spanish in the secondary school, university or any other private institution.
» Fill in all the admission forms required that can be found at:
www.ubp.edu.ar/relacionesinternacionales and send them by email to: c.u.cordobacenter@gmail.com, previous to deadline.
  15 November is the deadline for applications to attend the first academic semester.
15 May is the deadline for applications to attend the second academic semester.
 
Duration of the program
»First academic semester (SPRING): starts the first Monday in March and ends by the end of June.
»Second academic semester (FALL): starts the first Monday in August and ends by the end of November.
